Here’s your chance to learn how to make cocktails from one of the hottest bartenders on the scene, Matt Bulmer.
Described by Bartender magazine as “the rum god”, Bulmer has mixed up a cocktail storm around the world over the past 12 years working in more than 30 bars. He’s had stints in London, Jamaica, China and more, and his CV includes names such as Mahiki in London, Zeta Bar, Ivy Bar, the Marlborough Hotel and Lobo Plantation, to name just a few. Since 2010 Matt has run The Rum Club, sharing the rum love with enthusiasts and curious souls alike in locations around Sydney.
“I like to make drinks a celebration, always with fresh ingredients and simple flavours. I think it’s the way people match the brands they like to flavours that’s the most important thing. I’ve always loved reminiscent cocktails and ingredients as well, things that remind people of their youth,” says Bulmer.
