MORE ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Spring High Tea at Swissotel Sydney is exactly what high tea should be: somehow frivolous and lighthearted while maintaining a sumptuous splendour. Relaxing and indulgent, it falls somewhere between a playful treat and full-on decadence.

The Crossroads Bar boasts a soaring ceiling and plush décor, giving it an air of modern sophistication that, along with the buzz of light chatter and soft music, create an alluring ambience.

Truly a feast for the senses, the affair starts with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a selection of aromatic loose-leaf tea or rich hot coffee. On weekdays, as you sip your drink, you’ll experience a traditional high tea service, with a gorgeous three-tiered stand laced with classic sweets, like scones and pastries, and scrumptious savoury sandwiches. This classic approach is ultra-chic, offering you and your guest a perfectly relaxing time.

On weekends, you’ll find an extensive buffet instead, littered with a mouthwatering array of savoury delights, like BBQ pork pastries with sesame and BBQ chicken pies, as well as tempting sweet treats like Chinese coconut tartlets and an assortment of cooling Italian gelato flavours. Not to mention the impressive, and totally decadent, Lindt chocolate fountain.

Whichever your approach, you’ll find that Swissotel Sydney does it flawlessly – making sure that your experience is simultaneously elegant, relaxed, decadent, playful and sophisticated.

Award-Winning Swissotel Five-Star Luxury
Swissotel has 28 of the most luxurious hotels in 15 countries. The company’s colourful history began in 1980, when Swissair and Nestle got together to open a few separate hotels, each with its own individual identity. Over the last 31 years, it has blossomed into a renowned hotel chain, voted by Expedia Insiders’ Select among one of the top one percent of hotels in the world.

Other honours include “Top 100 Best in the World Readers’ Choice Awards” by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, Top 3 hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands, and Best Hotel in New South Wales and Best Hotel in Oceania.

Swissotel Sydney’s General Manager, Pierre Stacher, even won the “National Tourism Legend of Australia Award.”

This impressive list of honours is certainly deserved, as Swissotel holds itself to the highest standard of style and service. That’s why the hotels’ many offerings, including restaurants, bars and spas, are enjoyed by more than just its guests – locals are regularly visiting its gorgeous venues for a taste of the high life.
